Good Charlotte are always good value.

I love it when celebs (despite the indoor wearing of sunglasses) don't take themselves too seriously.

Benji and Joel Madden are always a great chat and are totally willing to crack a joke and have a laugh at themselves too.

Check out an edit of their studio stopover from 2011 below.

My view for the weekend.
At the time of writing (Monday 6th Feb), it's been 25 hours since my last vomit.

The nausea still hasn't subsided from a weekend spent with Uncle Gastro, but it's refreshing to not be hemorrhaging from every orifice for the first time in days.

It was a horrid weekend, spent horizontally (and not in a good way) watching bad TV and trying to replenish the fluids that kept inadvertently and unwillingly escaping (again, not in a good way).

To give you an indication of just how bad things were, we watched seven hours straight of the same TV channel... because we couldn't get up to locate the remote control. We weren't too lazy, we just didn't have the energy or ability to stand up.

Guy Sebastian is one of those guys that you'd like to grab a beer with and just have a good chat.

He's also a good sport, so when he popped in to plug his single Don't Worry Be Happy, we asked him to pick up the guitar and do a rendition of Bobby McFerrin's original of the same name.

Naturally, he obliged.

The scene of the crime.
One of the great things about having a child who recently started daycare is the abundance of new illnesses that savagely beats her down, almost from the get go.

We have Lila booked in for two days a week and at $126 a day, we damn well want our money's worth.

"Make sure you eat ALL of your lunch and have an extra cracker with Vegemite for afternoon tea," I say to her as we walk towards conjunctivitis central. "Also, if they bring out the finger paint remember to apply it liberally! Make Daddy proud."

That's the problem. I don't see a lushly fitted-out daycare centre with a high ratio of qualified carers, an array of educational toys, countless outdoor activity sets and Dora/Wiggle paraphernalia up the wazoo.

To me, daycare centres are just one big building filled to the brim with dirty little children, sporting dirty little hands that spread dirty conjunctivitis.

I've interviewed David Guetta a bunch of times over the years and he never fails to disappoint.

Here's a guy who has changed the face of pop/dance and hip-hop over the past few years, almost every artist on the face of the planet wants his midas touch on their track and he just appears to be a relaxed, humble guy who loves to make music

The chat below is one I did with him in 2011 on my own.

With celebrity interviews, in most cases you're told the artist will be on the phone/in the studio at this certain time and that's it. There's no other requests whatsoever.

However, when you get the chance to interview one of the biggest singers in the world at the moment, the record label throws down a few rules for the chat.

In the case of Taylor Swift, it was a strict, "Keep to talk about music and touring, no questions about her relationships or the incident involving Kanye."

We had to throw out half of our questions... lol.

Anna Faris is one of my favourite comedic actresses.

During her chat to promote her film What's My Number, she didn't disappoint.

Above is a segment called the Mad Minute and below is the full audio of our chat.

I kind of nerded out during our chat with Simon Pegg, writer and star of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul.

One of the greatest moments occurred when, just prior to the interview, he looked at me and said, "We've chatted before haven't we?"

Emitting a little fanboy giggle I replied, "Yes."

Post interview, Katie burst my bubble explaining, "He was probably just being polite and says that to everyone," but I don't care.

He remembered me!

Getting the chance to sit opposite Robin Williams was truly a highlight of my career and he most certainly didn't disappoint!
